I am thrilled to share that I am again helping to change lives through the Power of Bicycles! I'm raising funds and awareness for World Bicycle Relief, a global nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals overcome the barrier of distance in rural communities around the world.
Last year, with help from my friends and family, we raised $3282, enough to supply more than 19 bicycles. Please consider supporting me as I work to empower women and girls through the Power of Bicycles. Every donation makes a difference and can help put a Buffalo Bicycle into the hands of a girl or woman in need! Until 3 June, donations will by doubled by a matching grant from an anonymous donor.
Feel free to join us on an easy Pedal to Empower ride on Sunday 1 June from 9:30 starting at the information Center in the bus plaza at Tsukuba Station. Participants who have not already donated will be asked to donate at least 1000 yen. The ride is an easy, mostly flat, approximately 30 km loop to Yokaren Peace Memorial Museum near the shore of Lake Kasumigaura, and back
